We are right now working on a two-part project which is going to be a killer. The first part of the project is our first song featuring original full vocals called “Two Button Love”. The second part of the project is a music video for the song!

We are really excited as these are two firsts for us.

Sexy sounds

In our duo we have our separate sound-fetishes. Mr. Wahlstrom has a pretty unhealthy relationship with really deep sub-bass. As for myself, there’s nothing that beats the sound of a really hard-hitting snare. I can’t really put it into words; I’m just in love with the sound of that crisp initial attack and the sweet, sweet reverberations that follow.

For me it’s one of the first things I listen to when I hear a song, a lot of the times it can be a deal-breaker. The song can be great but if the snare isn’t great it kind of ruins the whole song for me. It works both ways too. I can sometimes find myself listening to songs that I don’t really like because the snares are awesome.
At the end of the day I guess it’s a hazard of the job. Once you get involved with the creative process of things you never look at other peoples work with the same eyes again.

Hi, and welcome to the first post on our brand new blog! First off let us introduce ourselves: We are Wahlstrom & Valiant, and we make music! Electronic music, to be more precise.
Our sound can probably best be described as breakbeat influenced dance music with 8-bit sounds that remind you of the good ol’ days. We come from quite different genres of music. Our plan when creating our little group was to stylistically meet up half way. Mr. Wahlstrom comes for a background of electro-house production and Valiant has his background in drum n’ bass and break-beat. So we thought “Hey! Wonder how these styles would blend!” Well, the result can be found right here on this blog.

On this blog you’ll be able to read about projects we’re working on, our thought about music and music production as well as sneak peaks on up and coming songs and videos. Enjoy!
